Braga Police Detain Two Suspects in Vila Nova de Famalicão Robbery and Kidnapping Case. Investigation points to three robbery and three kidnapping crimes. According to the investigation, a victim was approached by the two suspects in the early hours of the morning, who demanded 20 euros under intimidation. After a failed attempt to withdraw money from an ATM, the victim was allegedly kidnapped and forced, under threat, to drive their own vehicle to another ATM, where they eventually withdrew the demanded amount and handed it over to the suspects. The suspects also forced the victim to move to a neighborhood associated with drug trafficking in Vila Nova de Famalicão, where one of them left for a few moments, while the other watched the victim in the vehicle. Subsequently, the victim was also forced to transport the individuals to their residence. In another episode, the same suspects approached two other victims, entering the vehicle they were in and forcing them to move under threat of a knife to the same neighborhood. During the journey, they demanded money, taking less than one euro. The victims eventually managed to escape when the suspect abandoned the vehicle. The detainees, aged 30 and 31, will be presented to the competent judicial authorities at the Guimarães DIAP for the first judicial interrogation.
