José Mourinho demands that SL Benfica be under maximum pressure to score points in the upcoming match against Famalicão, warning of the need to avoid the stumbles the team has had in seemingly less difficult situations throughout the season. The Eagles' coach emphasizes the importance of every point in the fight for second place in the I Liga.

In this Friday's press conference, Mourinho recalled draws against Tondela and Casa Pia as examples of relaxation, after the club had overtaken Sporting CP for second place. "I'd prefer to be forced to win all nine points. That kind of pressure makes us stronger. I don't want a team thinking seven points are enough, I don't want a relaxed team, I want a pressured team," stated the coach, focusing on Champions League access.

The Benfica coach highlighted that Famalicão is a "good team since the beginning of the championship" and that their fifth position in the table is no surprise to those who follow Liga Portugal. He anticipates a "difficult game for us, difficult game for them," acknowledging the opponent's quality.

Confronted with international press rumors about strong interest from Real Madrid in signing him, José Mourinho was emphatic. "No one from Real Madrid has spoken to me. Nothing about Real Madrid," guaranteed the Portuguese coach, denying any contact with the "blancos."

Asked about a possible contract renewal with SL Benfica, Mourinho maintained a reserved stance. "You know the situation. I have one more year on my contract with Benfica and that's it," he retorted, without providing details about his future at the club.

SL Benfica's match against Famalicão is scheduled for this Saturday, at 18:00, at Famalicão's home ground. Meanwhile, FC Porto could be champions this matchday if they perform equal to or better than the Eagles in their game against Alverca, at 20:30. Sporting CP, in turn, awaits a Benfica slip-up to try and regain second place, hosting Vitória de Guimarães on Monday.
